ORDERING & QUOTES
How do I get a quote?
Fill out the Start a Project form with your details, deadline and files. It goes straight to our production team and we'll email you a quote. You can also email hello@wearemakerhaus.com.
Can I just call?
Calls are great for quick questions. For actual projects, please use the form or email so your details and files stay together and nothing gets lost.
Will I see a proof before you print?
Yes. For most jobs we send a proof to approve, and nothing goes into production until you say yes.
How much does it cost?
Every project is a little different, so we quote each one. Send us the details through the project form and we'll get you pricing.
FILES & DESIGN
What file types do you accept?
PDF is best. JPG, PNG, AI and PSD work too. For the sharpest results, send files at 300 dpi at the final print size.
What does "print-ready" mean?
We can print your file exactly as you sent it, with no changes needed. Not sure? Send it over and we'll check it. If it needs work, we'll tell you before anything is charged. (For designers: PDF at final size, 300 PPI, 1/8" bleed, fonts embedded.)
My files are too big to upload. Now what?
Paste a share link (Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer) in the project form.
I don't have a design. Can you help?
Absolutely. Bring a sketch, a photo or just an idea. Our team can design it from scratch or fix up a file so it prints right. Choose "I need design help" on the project form. Design time comes before production: small file fixes take 1–2 days, layout or design 3–5 days, and each revision round 1–2 days. Design fees may apply.
TIMING & PICKUP
How long will my order take?
All times are business days, for print-ready files, and start once your proof is approved.
Passport photos, copies, laminating: while you wait
Standard printing (11×17 or smaller): same day
Photo prints: 1–3 days
Business cards, posters & wide format: 3 days
Booklets & bound documents: 3–5 days
Stickers, decals & fine art prints: 5 days
Banners & signs: 1 week
HTV on in-stock apparel: 3 days
Embroidery: 7–10 days
DTF transfers: 2 weeks
Custom stamps: 3 days
Sublimation, laser engraving & UV printing: 5 days
Canvas prints: 7 days
Times are based on average order sizes. Large or specialty orders may take longer, and apparel we order for your job adds supplier lead time. We'll give you a firm date when we confirm your order.
Can you rush an order?
Rush service may be available depending on our workload. Rush orders need approval, and a rush fee applies. Tell us your deadline on the project form and we'll let you know what's possible.
Where can I pick up my order?
At Makerhaus in Bremerton or Kingston Mail & Print, whichever is closer. Choose your pickup spot on the project form.
Do you ship orders?
Shipping is handled at Kingston Mail & Print. Mention it in your project details and we'll include it in your quote.
CUSTOM & GIFTS
What can you laser engrave?
Wood, acrylic and leather are our most common, and we also etch glass and engrave powder-coated tumblers. Have something else in mind? Ask us and we'll let you know if it works with our laser.
Can I bring my own item to engrave?
Yes, bring your own or pick one of ours in the shop.
How do I choose shirts or hats for an apparel order?
Browse styles in the SanMar catalog (sanmar.com) and add the style numbers and sizes to your project form. Not sure what you want? Tell us what it's for and we'll suggest options.
Do you do one-off gifts or just bulk orders?
Both. One perfect personalized gift or a box of 200 shirts, we're happy either way.
I have a really specific idea. Can you make it?
That's our favorite kind of project. Tell us about it and we'll figure out how to bring it to life.
